Safety First At The University Of Oxford – Case Study

The project

Roof access at one of the University of Oxford’s laboratories was heavily obstructed by the pipework, cables and supports for multiple extraction and HVAC units. This caused a significant fall hazard to employees working on the rooftop, so they called in our specialist to survey the area and improve access.

The solution

After an initial assessment, we custom-fabricated and installed a galvanised steel sub-frame, pictured below. The non-slip grating is designed to provide consistent, level and above all safe access to the equipment.
